I create every day pieces using OEKO-TEX certified fabrics (meaning they are free from harmful chemicals). Each of my designs are soft and stretchy with plenty of room to grow, they are meant to be worn and washed over and over again. I pre-wash the fabric to avoid any shrinkage that may occur, because I know busy parents don't always have time to sort laundry! However, the colours will remain their brightest with cold water wash and line dry treatment.
I started sewing children's clothing when my own 2 kids were small and experiencing sensory issues with the ready to wear clothing available. They just wanted comfortable, soft clothing that was free from buttons and other closures and, most importanly, allowed them to dress themselves independently. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a passion and as my skills grew- so did my little ones! Soon I was sewing more items than we needed and I began gifting garments to family and friends. They all encouraged and supported me along my way, and Little Beautiful was born! The name comes from a term of endearment that my lovely Mother in Law would use to greet my girls when they were tiny toddlers, "Hello Little Beautiful". Her unwavering love and kindness towards them is what I want each wearer of my garments to feel. Like they are wrapped up in a cozy hug!
